Hope for Kids conference

New Hope for Kids psychological stabilization and rehabilitation program for children affected by military conflict

Lviv, July 11, 2023 - The Ukrainian Charitable Foundation HOPE UA presents the Hope for Kids psychological stabilization and rehabilitation program aimed at helping children who have suffered trauma during the war. A press conference dedicated to this program will be held on July 11 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center at 27 Dnistrovska Street, Lviv.

This press conference aims to highlight the problem of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and war trauma in children. We will reveal general statistics and explain why it is important for the future of our country. In particular, we will present ways to solve this problem and present the Hope for Kids program.

Hope for Kids is a program developed by a team of professionals at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center. Its main goal is to stabilize the emotional state and recovery of children who have suffered trauma during the war. We strive to preserve, stabilize, restore or compensate for the impaired mental functions, qualities, personal and social status of children, promoting their psychosocial adaptation to the changed life situation. We also help children to comprehend their experience in extreme conditions and apply it in their future life.

Hope for Kids works with the Ministry of Social Policy to refer children to the program and ensure their comprehensive approach to recovery.
